We provide safe, responsible training.
At Reiten Outdoor Safety, we believe that safety comes first whether you are venturing onto the range or into the great outdoors.
Our firearms training courses not only provide you with the fundamentals required to obtain your Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) — for both restricted and non-restricted firearms — but we also emphasize the skills you need to handle, store, transport, and operate safely in all environments.
If you or any member of your family are interested in and want to pursue the challenges and rewards of hunting, we can provide the same expert knowledge and passion. Although the Alberta Conservation and Hunter Education Course is available online, we understand that there is still the need for those who prefer a hands-on classroom setting.
We can also assist you in hitting the open water if that is your goal. Whether its scouting for a trophy fish in grandpa’s old aluminum boat, cruising the lake with friends on a pontoon, or hitting the throttle on your new jet ski, you will be required to complete your Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator training. Again, this course is offered as an online option, but for those who would rather the classroom setting, we can make that happen.
Our courses are conducted by a team of experts with over 60 years of experience in firearms handling and a true passion for conservation and hunting. We take every opportunity we can as a family to be outdoors whether we are fishing, hunting, at the range, or just taking our children on a hike. We know that safety comes from knowledge. Let us share our knowledge and outdoor enthusiasm with you and ensure you have safe and memorable outdoor adventures.
ALBERTA CONSERVATION AND HUNTER EDUCATION COURSE
In Alberta, first-time hunters who have not previously held a licence in Alberta, or youth ages 12-17, must complete the Alberta Conservation and Hunter Education Course.
CANADIAN PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATOR TRAINING
Anyone who operates a motorized boat or jet ski in Canada must have proof of competency, regardless of their age, engine horsepower, or length of boat. The most common proof of competency is the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC).
